Thread: Transformers

  1. I particularly like the cape. There's just something awesome about giant robots with capes, and the wings-standing-in-for-a-cape on the previous Vaders didn't cut it.

  2. Its just so cool. And its fully posable. The added bonus is the soundeffects in the right arm.

  3. It's recognizable as Vader, yet it also looks like an authentic Transformer, enough so to blend in with other large-scale TFs, whereas the other SW TFs mostly don't fit the TF 'style' and just look like generic (not to mention badly designed) mecha.

  4. I've never liked any of the SW/TF's, but this one is just so ........ BAD.ASS!

  5. Hey! That Vader is....dare I say...AWESOME?!

  6. Something Star Wars related that's not awful? How novel.

  7. Very good news.

Takara has announced that they will be re-issuing Masterpiece MP-05 Megatron due to the popularity of the figure, BigBadToyStore tells us. Pre-orders are now open for $99.99 and will arrive sometime in December or January. Joel says that pre-orders to their Japan distributor will need to be placed within a week. If you were holding out and definately want one, pre-order now. Remember that prior to shipment into the U.S., BBTS adds a blaze orange cap to allow for the figure to be legally shipped into the states.

  8. Hmm, in the comments on that article, someone says BBTS doesn't glue in the cap, but the preorder page says otherwise. Can anyone confirm one way or the other? I really don't want the cap in there permanently.

  9. After researching by way of teh googles, it seems BBTS does indeed glue in their plug, BUT it can be removed by heating the barrel with a hair dryer and then pulling the plug out with pliers... sounds risky to me, plus it still leaves a glue residue in the barrel. I'd rather bypass this issue if at all possible; has anyone dealt with Ages Three and Up?

  10. Action-HQ is also shipping them unmodded, but they're based in Hong Kong, so the shipping is probably obscene...
