My words. In all honesty, I usually think Konami = Capcom, with each of the respective companies putting out a few good games, and the rest being crappy.

They have released licensed shovelware like Shaman King, TMNT and Cy Girls, a weak Contra sequel, bastardizations of Frogger, and rhythm game sequels. Konami hasn't been any better than other major Japanese company lately so I don't see how Yoshi can call them the only viable publisher left in Japan.

I'm just not feeling the Konami of now, If you look at my NES, SNES collection, Konami made up a HUGE ass chunk of my games, hell even last generation between the N64 and PS1 they had a good fair share, this generation has been very different

My guess is that Japan is very different. Konami is at least as good as any other Japanese publisher now. I challenge you to name a Japanese company that can match Konami's entries in the Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, Suikoden, Gradius, and Silent Hill series during this generation. Capcom has Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and maybe Onimusha. Sega has Panzer Dragoon Orta and Virtua Fighter. Square has nothing. Namco has Ridge Racer and Soul Calibur. Japan is worse today than it was five years ago, but Konami still headlines the Japanese lineup.

No, I'm saying that adding Silent Hill 2-4, Metal Gear Solid 2-3, Gradius V, and Suikoden III-IV to the GBA Castlevanias beats RE4.
