Thread: Konami might buy out Capcom

  1. Martial Champions vs. Street Fighter? Not bad for a Vs. title, though I'd prefer Yie Ar Kung-fu vs. SF with the insane jumps. Capcom could throw in some serious Aerial Rave action here.

Then again, I like the idea of Konami ordering the resurrection of some Capcom shooter franchise. Make mine a Treasure & G.Rev developed 19XX II.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  2. No one is mentioning Konamis ace in the hole:

    Karaoke Revolution

It's the only video game you can play with a house full of adults male and female. I just wish it would come out more often/have more DL content.

  3. Hopefully this will result in CV getting ripped out of IGA's incompetent clutches and given to the RE team.

    You must be kidding?

  7. Why would I be kidding? They've proven they can make a damn good... no, the best damn atmospheric horror-themed 3D action game. If CV on consoles has to be 3D, and Konami corporate has made it pretty clear it does, then I want it given to someone who can do it right. IGA's batting 0 for 2 in the 3D action department, and it looks very likely that it's about to become 0 for 3.

I have no problem with him continuing the portable games and maybe even overseeing the story development on consoles, though.

  8. I think the problem comes from RE's "action" portions. I mean RE has never been known for great action really. It's all about atmosphere. I think people are looking at Castlevania for both the atmosphere and the action. It needs to be top notch, and the level design needs to be interesting and entertaining.
