Disgaea 2 Announced.

^__^ I wasn't able to go on the interweb last night and I can't order from work.

If it's still there when I get home I'll buy it.

I can't imagine playing a game like this on a handheld.

I ordered a copy of Disgaea from Atlus last night for the same reason - I'm not sure the game lends itself to the much smaller screen of the PSP that well. I would prefer to play it on the bigger screen on the PS2.

Hopefully it will ship soon. I have heard great things about the game and want to try it...

I don't know if I can go back, though some of characters are awesome, so I may do the handheld. There's also Spectral Souls coming out this month from NIS and it's supposedly a good SRPG...

The only thing that bothers me about Disgaea 2 is that it really puts the grind of an MMORPG into single-play game. I'm having fun, but I doubt I'll revisit the game or do the silly required to see all the game content.

Well the thing about both Disgaea's is there a trick to do it quickly. You can get characters to level 1k pretty easy if you go through with the tricks. Most of which are in the guide. Which I purchased just to support Otherdane. That and it's pretty useful.

Yeah, I should read more of the guide...so much of the "tricks" seem like game exploits that I didn't want to ruin it for myself. Although the game as a whole is geared toward that mentality (like all the move canceling, tower throwing, etc), which I guess fits the demon world motif in terms of doing things "right".

Also: I love when a Legendary Senator drops into the Dark Assembly, I bribe him to total support, and then he randomly punches the next two highest supporters right out of the court, costing me the proposal.

LOL, I made this one legendary senator drunk and he beat the crap out of a couple of my proponents. Doh. I def lost that proposal.
