Thread: NBA 2k6 360 screens/video...damn smooth

  1. NBA2k6 is out for Xbox and PS2, and it's $40, not $20 this year around... definitely just going to wait for the 360 version (unlike how I bought NHL even though I intend to get the 360 version too).

Yeah, I can't wait to see what 2K Sports does with sports that I actually care about. Go Top Spin =D

I still want this though.. I'll learn how to play a sim-style game if it means oogling over this.
    Play Guitar Hero //

Otherwise, STFUI never said those details won't be there, but they won't be anywhere near as noticeable.

No, it's footage of a replay of gameplay.
Gameplay footage is taken while someone's actually playing.
    oh COME On
even with a 17" inch tv screen & being 15 feet away from it, are you saying there won't be a massiive difference between these two screens

I mean the massive insane amounts of player polygons & real-life clothing along with the super high detail, of course it WILL BE A MASSIVE DIFFERENECE

  4. I'm not talking about those screens, I'm talking about actual gameplay screens, like when it's zoomed out to show half of the court.

Show me a side by side comparison of gameplay and we'll see how far off my statement is.

Even zoomed out i'm betting there is going to be a huge difference playing this game in 1080i on my HDTV. Maybe not individual beads of sweat, but the level of detail in the models alone will make a huge difference imo.

So you're saying details aren't lost at a distance?
I don't see where you actually dispute what I'm saying.

  8. I never said the game won't look any better during gameplay.
My whole point, which I guess I didn't make clear enough, is that the graphical improvements won't make nearly as much difference during gameplay as those videos would suggest.

  9. It'll be a noticable difference. Seeing it in motion will tell alot more than pictures though.

  10. And in 5 years the game will look like ass.
