It's just so fast. Regular games, difficulty bring it on, but this "dancing" stuff is brutal.
Once it clicks you feel like fucking superman though.
I had to learn in an arcade... EMBARRASING!
It also helps to put in the 2x "speed code" (x,y,x,y,start)

Does the 2x speed code slow or, God forbid, speed the game up? Do you input it at the title screen?

The 2x speed code speeds up the arrows, thus making them more spread out and easier to read.
The song and the rate at which you move stays the same.
A diet + this game really helps the ol' weight, too.
