I still havent gotten my demo in the mail
I'm anti-everything
I played through the the Japanese version months ago but stopped at about 12 hours and never got back to it. It was fun, but it didn't pull me in as much as, say, Tales of Rebirth. I really have to pick it up again one of these days and give it another go.
I got the demo today. I haven't played the story mode yet, but the battle gives you a lot to explore. Whenever i think it's going to end, it keeps going. I'm also surprised at the lack of roped-off areas.
The world is beautiful. Extra points for Level-5 for letting the player have a first-person view to look around. Battle animations are also extra good. DQVIII is a reason to have a PS2, rama.
