Or go custom -- I still say for 150-200 get a custom wood case with good parts. At least to me, I prefer a solid wood case sanwa stick and seimitsu buttons... tons of excellent stick builders on SRK...
My friend scored a PS3 TE stick on ebay for 98 bucks shipped... they mislabeled the auction...

I appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into custom sticks, but I don't think Grave should spend $150-$200 on a quality custom wood case when he can get an SE for $70-80. The SE case really is perfection. It feels perfect on the lap or on a table (while being smaller than most other stick cases), it's got a perfect handrest, and the internal layout is a modder's dream. I've got a DB25 switchbox, project box port, toggle switch, and two PCBs installed in mine (with room for at least one more PCB). Everyone run out and get an SE while you still can.

So, after using my EX2 with an octagonal gate for several months, I've decided to go back to the stock square gate.
The problem is that rather than making the diagonal throw smaller, the octo gate makes the straight throw bigger.
I'm used to square gates now anyway from using my friends TE stick.
I just wish the EX2 wasn't so mushy and loose.
What kind of stick is in your EX2?
Yeah I have a custom modded hori soul calibur stick with 2 pcbs etc, but I'm not much of a fan of such a small case. I prefer hrap size.
With the SE you have to spend another 50-60 bucks on parts to bring it up to full sanwa/seimitsu, so that puts it at around 130-140 for single system support? Add the project box/extra PCB and you're looking at another 20-30 bucks, so why not just get the TE or a custom at that price point... (maybe I'm missing something -- I've heard that the quality of the PCB/stock parts is very poor).
