It's too bad about the inside of the VX stick, as I like the layout and spacing of the stick and buttons on the face of it a lot (plenty of wrist room around the stick). No metal plate/ quick disconnects is unfortunate.
I actually like this weird thing, except for the start button on the face: (they claim to have Sanwa parts available)

The button situation could be better, but the real shit thing about the Hori VX/V3 sticks is that it looks like there's no metal to mount a new lever.
lol
It's not a custom stick, but I figure I'd post in this thread instead of creating a new one.
Amazon has the Hori Real Arcade EX SE for the 360 for $80. It has Seimitsu parts, and should be moddable but it may not need it. I've never had any Seimitsu sticks before, any thoughts?
I use a modded DOA stick which is fine for fighters, but the buttons suck for shooters. I'm used to a sanwa stick for the Wii (lol) and a Happ competition stick on the Neo Geo.

Seimitsu stick levers utilize stiffer springs than their Sanwa counterparts. They also have shorter engage on the microswitches, resulting in less deadzone than Sanwas.
The PS-14-G buttons in the HRAP EX-SE are nice. Tactile and resistant compared to feathery Sanwa OBSF/Ns. And beat the shit out of stock Hori clone parts obviously.

That's a crazy price and almost makes me wish I had passed on the $99 TE.
but nah, the TE is sexier to mod anyways.
