I don't see why you guys seem to hold "black gangsters" in a higher light than you do nazis. As far as I'm concerned, they are both equally trash, but one is far more creative.

When the KKK showed up in my hometown in high school I went to the protest, it felt good.

I didn't loot or rob anyone, the whole thing went down pretty well. Of course, people were pissed. Really pissed, and the whole thing was seconds away from blowing up.

You really can't expect logic to take hold when you're in a situtation involving that much raw emotion.

i actually remember in johnstown we had a situation like this, there are some klansmen in the area, so they were going to have a rally a few years ago, so local churches countered and had a kind of a fair. i liked how they handled it, if you go see these chuckleheads you get pissed off at them and might take a swing at them, as josh said, emotions ran high. instead it was a counter celebration of the synangogues and churches showing why we are right and they are wrong, as it stood we had a massive turnout and they were reduced to just standing atound with few people to pay attention to them.

Anybody blaming the Nazis is an idiot. Anybody that actually shows up to "heckle" the Nazis is an idiot. People getting upset at the police were idiots and all the people who used this opportunity to riot and set buildings on fire and loot in stores are idiots.

Every person involved in this mess played directly into the Nazi's hands. They wanted riots, they wanted news coverage, they wanted people to get hurt, they wanted us to talk about it. At the end of the day, they won. And it is the fault of ignorant people who don't know how the game works.

What should have happened is, if nobody pays attention to them, and people peacefully protest, they go away after the march. The people in this town were clearly just waiting for an opportunity to be assholes, and the Nazis clearly knew that.

This whole situation is a shame, especially because of how many people aren't understanding what is happening and who to blame.

PS: Ichabod, you need to move away from that place. It is clearly filled with losers.

Of course everyone knows that the hoods played right into their hands. It was obvious to everyone from the start, everyone except the stupid gangs which they were specifically targeting with their march, gangs which happen to have a very mean violent streak. The city of Toledo should never have allowed them to march there, everyone around here knew what would happen, just not to this extent.

And as for it being stupid to show up and heckle them, what the hell are you thinking? These guys are jokers, they looked hilarious. Of course I was going to show up and laugh at them. There were a whole bunch of people who showed for this purpose, and with counter-demonstration signs. The Nazis had already won the game by getting so much publicity for their march, all that was left for us to do was try to make them look stupid. By the way, they did a damn good job of that themselves.
