SNK Pinky:st figures

The SNK line of Pinky:st figures finally came out recently, and I got mine today in the mail. If you aren't familiar with them, Pinky:st are 6" or so girls that have inter-changable parts. Their hair (front and back halves), heads, upper bodies, lower bodies (if it is a skirt, then the skirt and legs are separate), and accessories can all be swapped between figures. The line has gotten pretty popular in Japan, and the company behind them has recently been doing a lot of specific characters, such as SNK's Mai and Athena, instead of the typical original girls. Other lines being covered are Tenjyo Tenge, Gunslinger Girl, Capcom (Sakura and Chun Li are coming soon to play opposite Mai and Athena), and a line based around the artist Range Murata.

Anyhow, just thought I'd show off a few pics of them. And here we were thinking that Mai was the "dirty girl," but look at that damn Athena running around without pants.

Awhile ago, I bought that limited box set with the nice color book that has pictures of the dolls in all type of real world places around Tokyo (very cute). I think I first read about the dolls on your morningmayo site.

I also have an EVA set with Rei and Asuka in skimpier versions of their plug suits (I think... haven't looked at 'em in awhile).

Videogame-themed dolls would have me collecting faster than... something really fast.

while those pinky st. figs are pretty dope, i gotta give a FAT plug for max factory's two new capcom girl figs. both are 1/6 scale, run around 45.00, and are the absolute perfection in pvc prepainted sculpts(no assembling).

There's also this keen Plenair-san that's sold out. She was in Disgaea, but she's from somewhere else too. I think some website. Shidoshi, you know?

She's basically the main original character of Yuichi Harada, an artist who has done things such as the character designs for Disgaea. I saw that Pleinair figure in Japan, and would have purchased it, but I really don't like her with the glasses and that outfit. They had a "regular" version of her previously, but it wasn't being sold anymore when I was there.

I would kill somebody, in front of their own mama, for a Pleinair Pinky.

It's safe to say that I pretty much want everything on this thread.
That sakura figure is AMAZING. I'd really like the Mai one though, that's really cute.

Good luck, Satsuki. It's been getting $100+ bids since it's been out. It was only available through some raffle in Japan.

If it ever goes down, i'll get it, but i'm not paying more than $50. And i'd still be an idiot.

There's also a Fruits Basket one, Da Capo, and a Sakura (Sakura Wars) Pinky out some time, though the Fruits Basket is another raffle.

Thanks for the info. I knew i'd seen her before. My pal Julie, (remember Angel from the Go! days?) has it and i want to kill her. A custom Pleinair pinky wouldn't be too hard...
