I disagree. I'm white, and have experenced it first hand. Ive been treated like crap in stores/resturants in predominatly black areas more times than I can count. Fault me for liking Jamaican cooking...

I've been with minority friends in stores before and noticed how a store's secuirty dept. suddenly decides to make thier presence known.

It happens everywhere, I honestly believe it may be more human instinct to have a built-in mistrust of someone you don't know who isnt like you, than outright racisim. Its not right, but I can't really fault people for it.

It really depends on WHY they mistrust them. If they see someone of a different color and mistrust them for that reason, then yes, it is racism. They are assuming things about them because of their skin.

However if a person mistrust someone because of the way they talk, their age, the way they dress, or who they hang out with, that is entirely different thing. They may or may not be making a big deal out of nothing, but it isn't racism.
