Thread: Riots

  1. I was talking about this in #tnl the other night. I mentioned how this must have the cabal of Parisian Marxists in the cafes going apeshit. The poor and unemployed rising up and demanding change!? Woohoo! Finally, they don't have to look as impotent and ignorant as they have in the past 50 years.

Of course, I don't expect any of them to go out and try to 'participate' in the revolution, but by god if you step into one of their cafes before brunch you WILL be rudely accosted and lectured. That is the revolutionary spirit, comrades; intellectuals smugly rattling off archaic ideologies while everything else (like say "democracy" or "the rule of law") falls to shit.
    Time for a change

I read in some left-wing french paper; that these riots were akin the 1968 student uprising and that it would ultimatly only bring france good. Heh, the suckers never die. We should stuff a baguette down their intellectual throats.

Apparantly France gains another kill. (according to wiki a guy died the first night).

I've never been involved in a riot.

I'd like to get my looting on, so I'm always looking for the right opportunity.

That statue shows reality: You can burn down the building, but Ronald McDonald (and his restaurant kingdom) is invincible.

Wait for us to beat Duke in basketball this year, and I guarantee a riot on Route 1 immediately after it...just like every other year.
