I hear there is a rose in Spanish Harlem. A red rose up in Spanish Harlem. It is a special one, it's never seen the sun. It only comes out when the moon is on the run, and all the stars are gleaming.
So yeah. Go at night.
Yeah, and no fucking electroplankton yet means i'll probably pop in only if I am right next to it (which is pretty much a given since it is in Rockefeller Ctr)

I don't get why people are as afraid of Harlem as they are. I mean I don't know why you'd want to go deep into harlem like past 150th st or anything, but East Harlem/Spanish Harlem, and West Harlem up to like 125th st aren't really that bad. There are much worse neighborhoods in New York.
I'll say this: I've been lost on foot in the back alleys of Newark at 2AM and I will say that it is a fuckload scarier than any part of New York I've been in. Camden and Kensington in Philly, too.
Add 145th and Broadway (morningside heights) to the big list o' NYC fun.

Go to Kinokuniya instead. There's also that Japanese candy shop that's really close by. It looks intimidating but the candy's tasty.Originally Posted by SoldatoJ

There's so many homeless people they got rid of all the benches in the city, even at the bus stops and inside the train station.
You should totally buy me a drink when you come to NYC.
Is the Kinokuniya there expensive like the ones in SoCal? And what are some good cheap hotels to stay at? Some friends and I will most likely be driving up there during spring for some on-road shenanigans.
All is well.
I don't think it's too expensive. Nothing seems more marked up than usual.
