Thread: Taito Memories Pocket (PSP)

  1. Taito Memories Pocket (PSP)

I was almost going to pass on this one especially considering it's almost like a watered down version of TM Gekan. Now I'm thinking twice since the Legend of Kage and Cameltry remakes look impressive. Balloon Bomber needs a serious overhaul from its original arcade version however.

A remake of Ninja Warriors or Darius 1/2 with graphics specially designed for the PSP wide screen would've been nice.

    List of games:

    Crazy Balloon
    Balloon Bomber
    Lunar Rescue
    Qix
    Alpine Ski
    Elevator Action
    Chack'n Pop
    The Legend of Kage
    Fairy Land Story
    Kiki Kaikai
    Rastan Saga
    Kuri Kinton
    The New Zealand Story
    Raimais
    Rainbow Islands Extra
    Cameltry

Remakes: Crazy Balloon, Balloon Bomber, Cameltry, Legend of Kage

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  2. Some decent screenies, now if only they had at least included Bubble Bobble and a Darius game they'd have me sold. And why on earth didn't they have New Zealand Story as one of the updated games?

  3. Good to see another Qix fan here. I want the console versions of this thing for the Qix game on it, but I doubt it can beat the original.

  4. I love Qix, but the two icarnations on Taito Legends are really annoying. Super Qix and Voifield(?), they have the same mechanics but have annoying graphics. Qix has such simple graphics that arn't distracting and can be looked at for a long time. Super Qix and Voifield replaces the bouncing line with troops of Hobgoblins and Robotic snakes, chomping skulls and other crap. Its ugly, rather than sleek.
    Barf! Barf! Barf!
