  1. Magna Carta: Tears of Blood * Official Thread *

It's out.I got my copy during lunch today. I haven't opened it yet (I will when I get home from work). The packaging is very nicely done - the entire image on the cover is embossed. I understand it comes with a mini strategy guide that covers the complete game. It also includes a poster inside. Not a bad deal for $55.

I have seen mixed reviews. I want to try the combat system myself - with the action ring (some say similar to Shadow Hearts). Not sure how easy that will be to get used to.

    Has anyone tried it yet?

  2. i was going to pick it up today with DQ8... i haven't heard much in terms of reviews though.. so i guess we'll see.

after reading some reviews, looks like it's something i could like.. after work, it's time to purchase more games.. november has taken it's toll.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.

  3. My review's going to be up on Got Next later this evening, but (I mentioned this in the DQ8 thread)if you read up on the combat system and if it sounds like something up your alley, than Magna Carta is a good purchase. It's unique and implemented really well.

If not, then you probably won't get much (or far) in Magna Carta because everything in some way ties back or revolves around the battle system. Also, the game requires you to pay constant attention, keeping an eye on the chi meter and nailing those button presses, so anyone looking for the usual RPG to cruise control through should go with DQ8 or Wild Arms. It's a fun challenge, but meticulous and somewhat exhausting.

  4. Judgment Ring's cool. I'm open to this. I will buy this with my non-funds, yes.

  5. I think I'll skip it for now, looking forward to your review on this. I never like the Shadow Hearts style ring system and I'm not a fan of the FF active system and prefer more traditional Wild Arms style. Still at some point I gotta get this for the art alone.

  6. Alex's review is online, 'drew.

  7. Good for you CybrGamr. Hero of the day. I didn't agree with blueskied once before either, so i'll probably love.

Did anyone find that there weren't many copies shipped? I forgot which Gamestop i'd pre-ordered at (LI has a freakin' million GS's) and one had only sold to pre-orders. Nice box, though. Those bossoms is weird, yeah, but i like the designs otherwise.
    Donk

  8. I'm sure Atlus is watching their "numbers" of production copies. Better to sell all and have a "shortage" than to have an over-abundance of product that goes nowhere.

  9. L@@K! Paypal prefered!
    Donk

  10. Atlus just goes for low print runs for all their games, and only if there's a big demand (ie Disgaea) will there be another print run. Means that very few of their games end up in the budget bins.
