When Nintendo announced the remote controller they also said they were making a more standard controller as well, to which the motion-sensetive remote controller plugs into much like a VMU. They just didn't show it because the design wasn't finalized yet. But IGN took it upon itself to make up a (horrible) artist-rendered version of what it might look like. The revolution has FOUR gamecube controller ports on it, suggests your might be able to use GameCube controllers.
