This is sad.

I almost do not believe this.

His show from around 1987-88 on ABC called Ohara was good stuff. I'd like to have seen it last longer than it did though.

Mr. Miyagi was IMO the real star of the Karate Kid series. Ralph Macchio was good but they still could've kept the series going with a new Daniel if the need arose for a recast.

The Next Karate Kid wasn't bad either.

as stupid as it may sound but the first Karate Kid had a big effect on me

it's what got me into karate as a kid, which then later on in life got me into aikido, and iaido which lead to me making some insanely awesome lifelong friends all because as a kid Mister Miyagi was so fucking cool, not to mention my interest in Street Fighter and fighting games as minimal as it may sound, it did have a profound effect on me in my own opinion
