It appears that the Prince has actually gone back to his original temprament and voice. According to a few people have their hands on the game.

I loved part 1 and thought that part 2 made everything wrong with part 1 better. I can understand people not liking the rock music(which was actually a minor part of the music)and the darker look, but everything else was better.

I will be receiving part 3 for Xmas with the bonus soundtrack that covers all 3 games.

Yeah, the first entry was definately over-rated.
Seriously though, I liked Sands of Time. Can't say I liked the direction they took with Warrior Within, but I think this entry looks rather promising.

I would agree completely, except I only played part 2 for about an hour. I did think the crappy guitar music during fights was really out of place, though.

Now that 3 is out I really want to play through 2, since I loved the first one but thought the combat got boring and repetetive near the end. I really enjoy the exploration and puzzle-solving of these kinds of games, however.

I think in this one you go back and forth from the regal to the sarcastic Prince as he shifts (or split into into two or something). At least, that's what I gathered from what else I've seen and the print ads.

i was annoyed by watching the "game creators" show they had on g4 for this the other day. you're right to an extent mech. there is a "dual personality" thing going on. not sure if its the original and the prince from the 2nd game or just a good and bad side of the prince but some of the comments the bad side was making (he basically shit talks you the whole game) made me flip the channel.

It's his dark side talking to his good side. A more internal good vs evil battle with the Prince. Could get annoying if it says the same thing all the time if you die.
