I'd almost forgotten about Reggie. He makes me want to hate Nintendo.
p.s. My 1988 Triniton works great.
I never tried to start shit in this thread, omfg could've left well enough alone and it would have been fine. But all that aside this is my last response to any one in this or any other DS thread for now because I don't want them "gayed" up either. That Iwata pic is funny as shit though, had my sides hurting honest.Originally Posted by shidoshi

You have got to be kidding me. Reggie is the first ever flat out likeable rep to work at NOA and he actually seems to have some sort of tangible function and input in the company beyond being a droning pr machine (see Perrin Kaplan and George Harrison) Plus, he actually seems to like playing games.Originally Posted by Finch

Developers bet against Nintendo at their own risk. Revolution won't be a purple box with a handle, and that was the only reason the Xbox beat out the Cube in this one region.Originally Posted by Shin Johnpv

I remember Howard Phillips. He was cool. Or at least he was in Howard and Nester. You know, in those days, i wanted to be a Nintendo game counselor. That was my dream.
The Cube had more flat out good games than Xbox. (insert joke about Xbox being big and black, ha ha, people like that combination and so forth, what have you, things of such nature)You mean the lack of decent games had nothing to do with it?

If you're arguing the merits of a current gen system that isn't the PS2, you lost. STFU.
Exactly, you may not like Reggie's "style" but at least he has personality and doesn't act like Nintendo is unstoppable/doesn't need to change like the people I just mentioned. Lincoln was an annoying old duffer who was just there to make money and uphold Yamauchi's word, he could have cared less what direction the company was headed in.I remember Lincoln going on about Mario 64, saying it's the best thing evAr and Nintendo would live forever because of it and nonsense.
Of course, it probably also helps that Yamauchi is finally gone (not that he wasn't a very smart man) and that Iwata seems much more progressive and open in thinking. But I guarantee you a Reggie-Iwata dynamic is much better than Iwata barking orders to some elderly american man just sitting in a chair (who probably cared more that he was part owner of the Seattle Mariners). yawn As a random example, we don't know whose idea it was to tell NST wait and put Hunters online, but of the two who do you think it was more likely: Iwata or Reggie? You think we would have had Lincoln or Arikawa pushing NST to delay in order to make the game wifi?
Look at Reggie's track record, the man knows how to market very effectively.

He's still obnoxious. One day, i want to punch him in the face. I feel he's trying to sell me knives to sell to someone else. I guess he kind of is trying to do that, and i can't blame him too much. It's a hard job trying to appeal to adults with something that's aimed at kids to 20-somethings. I just hate his freakin' guts.
