Thread: Howard Stern's Last Day

  1. Stern is still the funniest, but Phil Hendrie is a riot.

  2. Direct TV has XM radio and broadcasts O&A as well for free.

Disagree? You didn't disagree, you just came in and blasted Democracy Now! because I mentioned it.

I don't know where you're getting this, they never make any mention of socialism on the program that I'm aware of, not even by implication. Also, if you didn't think Amy Goodman is a hairy lesbian, why did you call her one?

It really isn't. It's independent journalism done by, what I consider, some of the last real investigative journalists in the business.

I don't know what Democracy Now! you're listening to (watching) but the one I get has one female anchor, Amy Goodman.

I'll look into that. I really would like to have something interesting to listen to hear at home.

When said talk radio is Imus in the Morning, absolutely. If I had to listen to that shit on my morning commute instead of my iPod I'd probably veer off the road and into a telephone pole just to end my suffering.

You can get what they call a "plug and play" that will work at home and in the car for like $30. You can get one that you can actually wear on your hip and take everywhere (plus home and car kits and all the accessories) for $99.

Imus isn't on XM. O&A, Ron and Fez, Bob Edwards, Air America, Fox, CNN, ESPN, and a bunch of other stuff.

I thought you meant as opposed to the talk radio I get now. If I had XM instead I definiately would listen to that. My only gripe is that I don't listen to radio in my car long enough to, in my mind, justify the monthly fee. However, if I could take XM around with me, into the house, on campus, etc. then that would be a different story.

You can. It's called the "XM2Go" line. I have one (the Delphi MyFi) and it is fantageous. Goes anywhere (well, within reason), can record hours of content to be saved later, and integrates perfectly with the car and home stereo hookups with minimal hassle. Or, alternately, if you don't care about it being wearable and just want car+home, there's some retardly cheap units out there that are quite nice. I know where you can get one for free with a 3 month sub.
