I take it you have a problem with me choosing books? Sorry I upset you so.

I just figured it'd be an easy way to take any obstacles out of the way to getting started. I don't mind participating, but honestly I was just trying to help.

  4. Okay I'm sorry. Nothing but <3 here.

    Play nice, kids.

Seriously, I'll read whatever you guys recommend to discuss it, but fantasy novels make me want to slam my dick into a drawer.

I'd say there are no off-limits books. Even if it's a famous classic, odds are you didn't read it this year. Go read it again.

  6. There's a good chance at some point I'm going to want us to read The Great Gatsby or Animal Farm; if only becuase it's been 5+ years since I've read either and they're really, really good.

  7. ok... but what if someone hasn't read the book but just claims to? will there be some kind of test?

  8. No, but if you aren't going to read the book why the fuck would you join the club?

  10. Well some people might join the club to appear intellectual. In reality they could just be gaming their fat asses off and not reading. It's been seen before.

I'm still baffled how we can implement some sort of control system... I think we should have some sort of weekly test combined with a written summary. how's that sound? Also do audiobooks count?
