I'm still baffled how we can implement some sort of control system... I think we should have some sort of weekly test combined with a written summary. how's that sound? Also do audiobooks count?

The point of the club is discussion. If someone doesn't read the book, they'd have a hard time discussing it.

I kind of hope audiobooks count, because there's one that I have in mind that would be a surefire hit.

There's a good chance at some point I'm going to want us to read The Great Gatsby or Animal Farm; if only becuase it's been 5+ years since I've read either and they're really, really good.

I wouldn't mind having a classic or two on the list to choose from. There are a lot of good books I either missed, or haven't read since highschool. And books seem better when you don't have to read them for a class

Kind of an update: This should be ready around the first week of January when I come back from Puerto Rico. I'll get the wheels moving and set everything up by then so we won't have to wait too long to start this.

I'd be up for this, but I rarely get to read for fun. Usually too far up to my ears in reading for my classes, which is pretty fun (im an english major). However, I only have 2 lit classes next semester so I might be able to fit some reading in. However, I'm not sure if the things you guys pick will interest me or not.
