The point of the club is discussion. If someone doesn't read the book, they'd have a hard time discussing it.Originally Posted by dakidski

A list of people and every month someone new gets to choose a book
Take 5 or so books and vote for which one we want
I'd read The Great Gatsby again. Or the Bible.
I dunno, I'll happily do this as long as the chosen book isn't too disagreeable.
I wouldn't mind having a classic or two on the list to choose from. There are a lot of good books I either missed, or haven't read since highschool. And books seem better when you don't have to read them for a classOriginally Posted by Opaque
I just picked up The Mole People: Life in the Tunnels Beneath New York City during lunch. I'll report back if it's any good.
Dolemite, the Bad-Ass King of all Pimps and Hustlers
Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww
Are we going to want theme months? I'd be up for it
If you don't want to look like an idiot, do not participate in the chat about a book you haven't read.
Kind of an update: This should be ready around the first week of January when I come back from Puerto Rico. I'll get the wheels moving and set everything up by then so we won't have to wait too long to start this.
Since so many of you are too lazy to PM me you can just post in here saying that you're in. Also, if you've already done so I'll just add you sooner or later.
I'd be up for this, but I rarely get to read for fun. Usually too far up to my ears in reading for my classes, which is pretty fun (im an english major). However, I only have 2 lit classes next semester so I might be able to fit some reading in. However, I'm not sure if the things you guys pick will interest me or not.

Count me in.
