How about Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman?
Well that's like, your opinion, man.
How about Dracula by Bram Stoker?
Okay I'm back. Still haven't gotten PMs for 3 books from you guys who want to participate. Seriously, read the first post again.
Also, I'm back from Puerto Rico.
Well I was IMed by some people to pick the first book despite saying we should vote, so here I am picking a book. After this, however, books will be voted on. This is to break the hymen of the book club.
So for my first choice I'm going to go with Babbitt by Sinclair Lewis. Yeah you'll probably be thrown off at first because it's a pretty iffy book, but I'm reading it now and it's growing on me. So yeah, tell me what you think? Good?
Just make a thread with the dates of this month's club activity and I'll go out and buy this on friday.
Babbitt is a book about a man named George F. Babbitt and his life as a successful career in real estate. He comes across many hardships and has a brief moment where he sees that his capitalistic ways are making him a shitty man.
