NGE comes in one of those, too.
The boxes are kinda weird, but calling them "thick" is a little strange. The original volumes in the regular DVD cases take up much more shelf space.

I see... I have one of those for Blue Seed and I'm thinking of trying to track down the individual DVDs.

Yeah, I refuse to buy those things.
If I'm going to spend the money to have the DVDs I want them to be in good looking casing; which matches the rest of my collection.
