No Fucking Service..

I've lost service to my phone since around 2 AM this morning. I have no idea why I don't. My cell got a little dirty and wet, could it have anything to do with that? It's also raining, and I checked out the Verizon site, and it said the weather can effect a cell, however, my friend lives a few blocks down from me and he has Verizon and his cell works. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

disconnect the battery and let it dry for a few days, but it might already be hosed, i suggest ebay.
