My cousin tells me that if you watch to many dvds in your ps2 it can mess up the laser in the ps2, has anyone heard this? Sounds like a load of shit to me being the fact that all ps2 games nowadays are dvd-roms. Wouldn't that mean playing games would fuck your system up too?

DVD movies stream data continuously, while most games don't, so yes, playing DVD movies will kill your laser faster than playing games.
