Thread: Can't Access TNL

  1. Can't Access TNL

    Nick (I emailed you but your mailbox is full : (

    FuryFox here...I switched to Qwest DSL 3 weeks or so ago, and haven't
    been able to get on TNL. I thought you guys were just down for a long
    period (since I can access everything else on the internet). But then I
    emailed some people who weren't having the same problem, and verified
    the site was up on another residential computer. So I did everything I
    could to see if it was on my end (ping, tracert, firewall, virus check,
    checking the hosts file), and eventually called qwest.

    The qwest guy says the connection is lost somewhere outside the qwest
    servers, and there's nothing they can do. I know it's a long shot, but I
    wasn't sure if there's something you can check or do on your end
    (assuming I can provide some information?). I'm logging in right now from my brother's house.

    Anyone else with any ideas feel free to contribute. However, since I can access anything TNL-related, please email me at otherdane@hotmail.com

  2. I'm having the same problems at work. only TNL doesn't work. I threw it in the hosts file and all that jazz, but its still fucked.

  3. Hmm. Weird things are happening. Some e-mail isn't getting through either because the domain isn't resolving. I'll look into it, but if history is any indicator, cka will swoop in and save us all by the time I even finish typing this.

  5. I have never, ever known cka to sit on his ass when TNL needs help. And guess what? He isn't obligated to do a damn thing. Everything he's done for the server has been done selflessly. Maybe we should all ask if he has a PayPal account and throw him some thanks.

    Who the hell is TNL registered with? I tried internic, networksolutions,and arin. Traceroute never gets there, either. Ping works, though. Lookup finds stuff. Odd.

  10. issue at hand:

    I'm sure it'll fix itself up, its probably just some bad routing from theplanet to whatever qwest ips your isp uses. Does it time out anywhere or get really high ping times? It would also be peachy keen if you could PM me one of the IP addresses you get at home, I'll traceroute it from the server and see if it ends up dying anywhere along the way.
