The underground tunnels are pretty cool, I'll give you that. Everything else about the Quads sucks though.Originally Posted by Gymkata

You can still sneak into parts of them though, most have collapsed however (They're like 100 years old)
That sucks although it must be pretty cool to sneak around. Our's connect all of the buildings within the Quad and have a central lounge that has a big screen TV, pool table, and foosball table. There's a ping pong table too but it's all kinds of fucked up. Oh, and vending machines.

actually, you are wrong.Originally Posted by Master
The earth, nor any of the other planets go around the earth in a perfect circle. They typically travel elliptical. The earth is closer to the sun during the winter. That is why Australia is a virtual desert. They have harsh summers at the same time we are having mild winters.
http://www.gi.alaska.edu/ScienceForum/ASF7/798.htmlThe reason is that the earth's orbit around the sun is slightly elliptical, or egg-shaped, and the sun is a little off-center of the ellipse (technically, it lies at one focus). The earth is actually closer to the sun, and the sun is thus brighter, during January. It appears dimmer at the northern latitudes because it lies lower in the sky, and its rays must pass through a greater thickness of atmosphere.
http://www.school-for-champions.com/...arthmotion.htmSince the orbit of the Earth around the Sun is an ellipse, surprisingly, the Earth is closer to the Sun for a Northern Hemisphere winter than it is in the summer. That would imply that the Southern Hemisphere has slightly colder winters and warmer summers than the Northern.

Yeah... also MR. WIZARD SAID THE EARTH WAS CLOSER TO THE SUN IN THE WINTER SO ITS FUCKING TRUE OK?
In SC, we had Mr. Knozit, a local news weather-man and state celebrity that came on in the mornings before Mr. Wizard.
Despite having double the knowledge in the mornings, we are dead last in SAT scores and well below 40th place for pretty much everything else.

Then why is the sky a red tint on Mars?PS: That is the most common wrong answer for this question as well. Reflection of the ocean being the most common wrong answer for the "why is the sky blue" question.
