There should be no debate over the death penalty. It is the only punishment that has zero chance of being reversed after the fact. Criminals serving life without perole have been released when prisons become too crowded. The dead ones haven't been. The only debate is how quickly the execution should happen. I am a firm believer that they should shoot the son of a bitch in the courtroom, as soon as his last appeal is denied, in front of his family. That is the only suitable punishment.

If something similar happened to my family, I think I'd snap and go vigilante. There's no point taking the chance that the death penalty wouldn't be issued and carried out.
