Thread: Gaming habit problem

  1. I'm on board with 8-10 hour games, but I can't help but feeling ripped off at paying $40-$60 for one.

Thats why I dont pay full price for games anymore. Avoid the orgasm that comes from every game launch on every site ("omg I got it today, 2 hours in loving it so far...") and wait for it to drop or catch it on sale.

Its really not a big deal and chances are you have plenty of games in your pile of shame to work through.

I've been doing my best on that strategy. The only games I've paid full price for in 2006 are Ridge Racer 6, and I know I'll get $60 worth out of that since I am 20 hours in already and only about halfway done, and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, which I had to buy to get the damn d-pad cover.

Glad to see that we're sticking to our guns. I'm still doing the same thing. You see it took us a year (?) after God of War launch to get it, and I'm holding out on the X-Box 360 like it's nothing. It's nice when you play it, but there are no "must-have" games out in the system right now.

I think I've purchased.....1 game at full price this year, and very few for full price in 2005. I splurged a little when I got back from overseas, but that's to be expected -- I picked up 5 or 6 games, both import and domestic that came out while I was away.

    Right!

I guess I'm better off replacing those Dreamcast favorites, with PS2, Gamecube and Xbox ports. That would be a great investment.

I don't think anyone suggested that.

    WHAT'S MY PROBLEM?
Maybe u better play free online games. There's plenty of cool games online and whenever u stop liking one u can play the other and so on. I play on www.PinkPnthrWeHardlyKnewYe.com. They've got new games with high-quality sound and graphics Try it, maybe this will solve ur problem

Go ply your dishonorable profession elsewhere, shill.
To boldly go where lots of men have gone before...

  9. Trying boxing up your gaming stuff and stick in your closet and just forget about it. Then one day you'll become nostalgic and want to play with it. If you sell all your stuff, down the road you'll wish you didn't.
