Grave, where do you find that stuff? I've never heard of or seen it, and it looks seriously unedible.

I'm going to do the spinich one this week.
This really does sound good, I'll give it a shot Tuesday. Not sure about adding mac and cheese to it though.

I did not know that. I use the blue labeled cans.

    3. I can't imagine brown rice going well with this recipe. Parboiled rice would be a better choice. Fuck health.
Brown rice works pretty well, but I think that plain old white long grain rice tastes the best. It has that classic taste to it.

    4. Yeah, this is the typical latino dinner that puts caserole or whatever shitty crap Americans call dinner these days.
I feel bad for kids who have to eat shit like mac & cheese for dinner all the time.

I always ate mac and cheese at home for snacks at night...but real macaroni with grated cheese. Not that stupid ass Kraft shit.

Macaroni with grated cheese? Now that sounds kind of ghetto.

There's nothing wrong with the Kraft version, it rocks imo. and is quick to make.

  5. If you have a crock pot this is a good recipe:

    BBQ Pulled Pork

    3lb pork shoulder
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
    1/2 cup ketchup
    3 tbs barbecue seasoning
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp ground mustard

Put the pork in the crock pot and mix the other ingredients up and pour over the top. Cook for at least 8 hours on low. Pull out the meat and shred with two forks and put it back into the sauce. Slap on some rolls with some potato salad on the side.

Here is a bonus mexican version:

    2-3lb Pork roast
1/4 cup of Tabasco Chipotle Sauce
    4 cloves of garlic diced
2 cans of green chiles and the juice

Same procedure. It is good over rice or in tortillas. It also can be used to make enchiladas.

If anybody has any recipe requests I would be glad to help, cooking is my second favorite hobby after gaming.

animegirl, if you know any relatively cheap, healthy, and somewhat easy to make chicken or vegetarian meals, that would just be great.

But when you grate and use your own cheese for macaroni, you get to use all sorts of cheeses that taste way better than the norm.

You should try Mozzarella, Cheddar, American and Colby, all mixed together. That macaroni and cheese is way better than anything Kraft can throw at you.

    Hmmm....here are some easy ones.

    Chicken Quesadillas

    2 whole wheat tortillas
    handful of 2% shredded cheese
    precooked and sliced Tyson Chicken

Just spray a frying pan with PAM and put one half of the tortilla down, cover with cheese and chicken and cover with the second half. Cook for about 3 mins each side and slice into fourths.

    BBQ Chicken Pizza

    1 precooked pizza crust
    1 cup pizza sauce
    1 cup diced cooked chicken
1/4 cup of your fav BBQ sauce
2 cups of low fat mozzarella

Mix the chicken and BBQ sauce together. Spread the pizza sauce over the crust and cover with cheese. Spead out the BBQ chicken pieces and cook in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 8-10 minutes.

It sounds weird but it is so good.

Ghetto? How so. Boil a 1/2 pd. of macaroni, throw some butter on it, and then add cheese like you would with any pasta dish. Grated cheese is used with so many italian dishes.

  10. Italian cooking is ghetto by default. It's actually one of it's benefits.

Olive oil is great on everything.
