I saw this movie in theatres. It was really really great.
Hotel Rwanda determines to expose the hidden, massive effects of apathy, and makes no attempt to spare us the guilt of selective ignorance. The story focuses on true events surrounding Paul Rusesabagina, a hotel manager caught in the onslaught of the Tutsis genocide following the assassination of the Hutu president in 1994.
The hotel becomes the unwilling recipient of hundreds of Tutsis refugees. Through wit, grit, and at times sheer luck, Paul claws his way from one incident to the next and succeeds in delivering his family and people from danger. He bribes the local defense force, uses his connections to acquire food and supplies for the sheltered refugees, and attempts to have UN forces present at the site to help them escape.
Don't misunderstand, bleeding hearts not apply. The image presented of this incident points the blame at no entity in particular, but instead paints a bleak picture of the nature of apathy and personal greed in general. In contrast, Paul is presented as the shining beacon of level headed kindness. His determination is unconditional, and it makes him, as well as his cause, invincible.

Don Cheadle <3
I think this is OnDemand now, so I'll try to catch it there.
Time for a change
Don Cheadle is the man, but this is probably one of my least favs that I've seen of his, but by no means a bad movie.
Funny that so far Oldboy and Killer Tomatoes are the only movies I hadn't seen.

Ok, what's everyone's excuse this time? Don't tell me everyone has seen this one too.

I've got midterms going on right now. I still plan on catching it soon.
