Yeah, and originally it was a funny idea. Then he got popular in his own right for all the wrong reasons and became the worst comic book character of all time.

Pick up some of the older trade paperbacks (Lobo's Back is a good one), as they're totally insane. Ignore the regular comic series, it sucks.

Yup. They fucked up Lobo like they always fuck up edgy characters that get popular- they give them their own regular series and water/tone them down to make them more family-friendly. Lobo sucks now whereas in the beginning he was great.

That's how they ruined Venom and Deadpool as well.

BTW, if you are serious, you should look into picking up Omega Men 3,5,8,10 (something like that)

1st Lobo Appearances and stories, and highly undervalued

The only reason to read Lobo is the stickyform issue, with the city background. You could make your own 'Lobo kicks Superman in the balls' cover! (Or vice versa!)
