    That's all that matters.

  2. I got a Samsung t509 today, and it's an awesome phone, but it seems like it's incompatible with all the Hudson games out. No Nectaris, no Bomberman, no Ys. Kind of a drag, but hey, it's a phone first and foremost, right? Metal Slug Mobile Impact (I think that's the title) looks pretty cool, I might give it a shot tomorrow and see.

In fact, it looks like the vast majority of phones out there aren't compatible with Hudson's mobile titles. Does anyone know why that is?

I don't think I can get Doom RPG either. This sucks.

I hate cell phone gaming, but for this? I'm there.

  4. I've tried a shitload of cell phone games and paid a lot of money for them (if you download it and play it for 30 seconds Verizon bills you the full $2.99 or whatever). Unsurprisingly the only two games that were good, Doom RPG and Spelltris, were designed around control. For the rest, control is truly an abomination. I have no idea how it is so popular in Japan. As worthless as I think handheld gaming is, cell phone gaming will never eclipse it as long as the keypad is used for control.

  5. Well, the NGage addressed those problems and look where it got them.

  6. I tried out the cell version of Lumines at E3, and was actually impressed. I was expecting it to be a novelty, and nothing more, but they actually pulled it off pretty decently.

  7. I just found out the other day that I can get Uno on my phone and play it with other people.

    Uno FTW.

  8. I played the demo. It's slow and ugly (at least the avatars are.)

  9. If you can play the Verizon Vcast games, Vijay Singh 3D is a good game of golf. Too easy, but plenty to do.

  10. Just carry around a DS.

I've got an idea - why don't they put time, effort, money, and resources in making a cell phone that gets a good signal, doesn't drop calls, and costs a flat rate per month instead of giving us the ability to launch nuclear missles, type messages with 9 keys, and browsing the web with a 2" screen?
You don't have to be smart; you don't have to know the facts, you just have to be confident.
