Really liked Kirby as a kid, even though I grew up a Brewers fan. It's a shame he wasn't as good of a person as everybody thought he was in his playing days.

I live in Minnesota, and everyone really loved this guy, until he went kind of crazy. He smacked his wife around, got divorced, and then sexually assaulted a women in a McDonalds returant bathroom. He then just kind of vanished for the years fallowing that. Hes always been the icon for the Twins, most people I imagine think of him when they think of the Twins accross the country. People will always have fond memories of the guy, but his post-baseball days went really south. But he got us two world series, so thats all that matters I suppose.
