Thread: Show Us Your Pets

We ended up keeping two cat from that litter (the others went to friends and mom went with one of her babies to my wife's step brother). Even from the two we kept they were from the same litter and raised in the same environment and even now have totally different personalities. One is very offish the other is 50% of the time a brat and 50% of the time a total lover. Of my other cats two a loners and the other is a complete lover. Those three were all adopted as kittens.
To get a cat with a lover type personality you almost have to adopt a grown cat, but of course not many people want to give up cats like that. My wife and I have worked over the last year to nuture one of our loner cats to be a more loving cat, and it has seemed to work, so I can't say it is impossible, but it is most definetly nature over nurture when it comes to cat personalities.
My cat will never leave me alone, if he knows I'm avaible to pet him he'll be all over me. He jumps in my bed and puts his head 6 inches from mine and purrs for thirty minutes and the worst part about him is that he "love bites". He's a big cat too so if you're not careful and you let your arm or hand get near him when he's purring and happy you might be losing a limb (or possibly two).

  2. My bed is where you will find my cat 9 times out of 10.

    More often than not, asleep.

Crawling up from under my bed

Sometimes my cat is the hardest mother fucker on the block, check the necklace and she's missing a leg.

My Dog Chance, she's a cocker spaniel and we got her when I graduated HS in 99.

It's tough to see, but they get along fine.

She will also eat anything that she can get ahold of.

  3. Link, my golden retriever (11 weeks old in this pic, 13 wks now):

I really need a digital camera. Until then, I have...

    2 dogs (Reese and Sadie)
3 cats (Yoru, Hannah, and Currie)
3 guinea pigs (Magnum, Higgins, and Butterscotch)
3 rats (Apollo, Helo, and Starbuck)
4 mice (Morrigan, Luna, Ophelia, and Juliet)
3 fish (Sylvester and two unnamed ones... I need to fix this)
