I work on 193, which is near 295. To get to my girlfriend's house milewise it's quickest to go 193/295/32 (To Odenton). Instead I go 193/450/3/32 Sure I go ass out of the way, but I get there like 30 minutes quicker.

I don't have to hit the beltway anymore, thank god, but I work in Georgetown. There's really no other way that makes sense from Crofton than 50/New York Ave, short left on 10th to connect with K St., then take it all the way down (I'm close to the corner of K and Wisconsin). I would ride the Metro but the closest station is Foggy Bottom, which is like a 20 minute walk from my work

With the Metro ride being about an hour anyway from New Carrolton, that doesn't help me. Fuck working in the district.
