Ghostbusters was the movie event of a lifetime (disregarding ET ~ to hell with Speilburg's goofy kids flicks).
Everyone at County Band Camp was talking about it, and everyone was singing that damn song, for like the whole rest of the year.
It took multiple tries to see the damn movie because for the first week or more the lines were out the doors and around the block at all the movie theaters in my area.
Though Ectoplasm Kool Aid never floated my boat, kids everywhere were slurpin that down outa juice boxes and pitchers of sugar water all across america. And what kid of that era hadn't been slimed?
