Someone explain to me why you would play ST over some newer SF game? I'd really like to know.
i dunno that id say i enjoyed it, its just around that mark you realized that the setup was going nowhere and the convoluted story wasnt leading up to some grand reveal, but rather a horrible, stupid and cliched game with one of the worst lead characters in the entire history of videogames.Originally Posted by diffusionx

Its not nearly as messy and silly as a lot of modern fighters. Its pretty damn balanced as far as I can tell. And its enjoyable. Plus I love them graphics. But like I said im really just getting into the "real" game as when I last was playing it ten years ago I had no idea what I was doing and had no one to play agaist that knew what they were doing. And I do play more modern fighters, but right now I am loving ST (xbox live version).Originally Posted by Korly

Because it hasn't become a broken game. A2 might as well be called Custom Combo fighter 2, A3 should be called V-ism unblockable bonanza (assuming arcade original). 3rd Strike is also unbroken too, so is MvC2. They're not like CvS2's A groove/roll cancel barrage that makes the game gay as fuck. Although oddly enough CvS2 still gets play.Originally Posted by Korly
Unbroken fighting games that aren't boring as fuck to play GET played for years at a time. Shitty half assed glitchy assed no where near balanced games are NOT played for a long time, witness Namco's Tekken 4 and 5.0 debacles and what would have been a Soul Calibur 2 travesty if Namco hadn't fixed the Arcade versions, and now the fact that SC3 gets no play like half a year after it's release.

Excuse me, did you just say MvC2 is unbroken?
The balance in the game was completely accidental.Originally Posted by SpoDaddy

To be fair, Squall is quite possibly the only lead character in the entire history of JRPGs to dress in clothing real people would actually wear.Originally Posted by Tenchimo Dos

Yes, in the top tier the game is exceptionally well balanced. Accidental balance? Yes Marvel is perhaps the luckiest fighting game ever that's still played 5+ years after it's release.Originally Posted by SpoDaddy
So no tournies can't be won with scrubby BB Hood/Morrigan/Guile teams but I can list at least 15 different teams that all play differently (and fairly) with the top tiers.
