My sentiments exactly. The 3D towns in Tomba! 2 were blech ugly. Still a good game though.

Theres a new video for this up at Clover's site. Never saw the original E3 one, but its up there too.Even though most of the fighting moves look cool, (although sometimes a bit questionable - one move had the main character fucking this guy up....er strangling him from behind, and another had him getting hit in his jimmy by a multi hit praying mantis kung fu shot) the gameplay just appears to be really stiff or something. But, hey you can spank strippers and kick enemies into orbit - thats gotta count for something,right?

At E3, the combat was great, the camera not so great, and the enviroments stolen from a PS1 game. The attacks chain nicely, and there's a real sense of impact to them that made it fun.
