If you have a lower button held down, guitar heroes counts it as a miss.

I liked that feature when I played and it allowed me to master it a lot faster than my friend who actually owns it. Well, that and I upstrum in addition to downstrum.

I think if the game ever goes to a lowered - Greatest Hits type deal (obviously would be a bit more than 29.99 CAN because of the controller) I will pick it up and check it out.

I need to pick up the first version, but awesome to see a second game already coming along. I'd love to see the game catch on in Japan, so us F-chans could also get a version with some J-rock going on in it.

I'm also curious to see how support for including tracks goes this time, and if we actually see some original versions of songs instead of covers. A lot of bands balked when the first game was being put together, and now suddenly it's a hit and a number of musicians actually like it. It'd be funny if where the developers had to struggle getting people to agree to license their music for the first one, this time around bands come knocking at their door wanting to be in the game.

I also wonder if the success of Guitar Hero has actually screwed Konami as far as bringing Guitar Freaks over here. The drug their heels until somebody else did it, and now if Konami tries to just port the game over to the U.S., people are going to laugh at the song selection when compared to Guitar Hero.
