Heh, Perry flat-out stated he wanted to reassemble the old team for another EWJ when I interviewed him last June.

If I ever get control of the Earthworm Jim rights again, I will re-hire the original team and fund that game. (It's the only original EWJ concept that should be done, as every licensee just didn't have the authentic sparkle that the property demands).

Never thought it would actually happen though. Give me an awesome 2D sequel on consoles Dave, please!

... Umm.. That looks pretty side scrolling from the pictures on IGN.
I just hope the gameplay has improved. I played the Genesis rev about a month ago and was amazed at how bad it was now.

The PSP project has existed before the project being discussed in this thread. It's not done by the original team or Doug Tennappel. It's a remake of the original.
