We should be rightfully proud of the fact that the Constitution is still the same force it was among the populace for 200+ years but most countries, all countries actually, have gone through at least some upheaval. I read in an article a few months ago by Paul Krugman that we may have a government in place today that doesn't believe in the legitimacy of the government or the Constitution. Well it was Paul K so he said it more definitively, but every time some piece of news like this comes out i think back to that article.
