I cant believe congressmen actually use this argument. It's really meant for mouthbreathers on RedState. It just supports what Paul Krugman said in that article I cited.

That said, I read that the USA is so heavily bureaucratized that the average person breaks 10 laws a day.

I don't fully stop at most stop signs. I go about 5 miles over the speed limit to and from any place I go, on several different occasions. I punch children.
