Thread: the pc at e3

  1. seeing how EA fucked C&C:Generals in every way, supereme commander looks god sent to me, specially that you can zoom out so much from the terrain, which Generals had limited zoom out. Plus the team behind SC was also respossible for Total Annihilation.

  2. What about that Stalker game? Is it totally dead?

  3. sleeve why did u remove the pics and links? what difference does it make to link anyways? also, you should kept the link atleast.

You're stealing their bandwith, but yes, the link probably should have stayed.

  6. Oblivion is one of the most demanding games on the PC right now, and there is no way in hell anyone is running this with everything at max settings w/o the latest in hardware (even at 1024 x 768). Running it on an older card (last year) that doesnt support shader model 3.0 let alone HDR hardly equates to "max settings".

You can spend $1000 on a 1900xtx crossfire or 7900 GTX SLI setup and not break 60FPS in this game with details maxed at 1280 X 1024 (which is not considered a very high resolution anymore). I don't have an xbox 360, but the performance you get out it for oblivion seems to be amazing for a $300 system

  7. It supports HDR, but only with AA off. So I can do either or, and I get good performance either way.

  8. I'm kinda dissapointed the 360 stands to be outdated by hardware by the end of this year, yet it's gonna be the main focus for games anyway.

I suppose Oblivion will be running full spec by then.

Same, but new ATI cards can run HDR+AA.

I wouldn't get too disapointed because although technically the new gpus will have more power than the 360 gpu, I dont think the games will look all that better. Console developers always do a great job with the hardware they have, and while PC games may have more fine detail the console guys usual make prettier games (ie celshaded games)
