I, at this point, let her be cynical, and say "maybe. but maybe not."

You can only be treated like shit by so many different people before it starts to grate on you.

Now I don't know this woman you speak off However I would ask many of the same questions that have allready been raised, where is she meeting these guys, maybe theres a common thread that is her attraction to these guys that may or may not be a sign of assholery, Also what made these guys ass', what did they do that puts them in the ass category

cause going back to the batsht insane thing alot of women will take something stupid and turn the guy into an ass about it, Shit like "OMG He won't stop being friends with this chick that he's known for 10 years longer than me because I have self esteem issues and wont let him have any female friends, even though there is no sexual attraction between the two of them and nothing will ever happen." The guy says no fuck you Im not throwing away a friendship and the guys an ass even though he never did anything wrong

plus usually there are signs before you date some one that they are an Asshole, and it would be my guess that this chick can't read those signs

I'd have to really, really love my job to keep working at it if I had $50 billion. There's more to life than buying someone else's programs and slapping your company's name on them.

Then again, I'm sure being a workaholic is what got him that $50 billion to begin with.

Good for you. So long as you're not a lazy shit who sits around doing nothing all day, I have no problem with you.
You've lost weight, which is a good sign of not being a lazy.

It's his lifetimes work and achievement, I'm sure that it wasn't about the money for a long, long time.
If he gets satisfaction out of achieving it, then good for him.

The guy started the company from nothing. His wealth is because of that company. It was his life's work, he wasnt spending all day posting on TNL.

He probably is just bored of it now, and thats not because he wants to go on vacations and shit, but because he feels his life's work is now his charities.

    That we know of...

I'm just looking at this from the perspective of a guy with a lot of interests who would love to have enough money so I wouldn't have to work so I could pursue them all. I never understand it when someone talks about how bored they get when they're out of work or school for even a few weeks.

Anyway, I haven't had the honor of starting a successful company, but now that I think about it, I suppose making the decision to leave and let other people run it would feel like abandoning your kid or something.

And I respect his current desire to dedicate his time for charity. With his dough, perhaps he can really do something.

As for what I'd do with a lot of money, I don't think I'd want to do anything exciting. (A thread on this might be interesting...)
Sure, at first I'd travel round and have fun, but eventually that would grow old. Same goes for the island full of hookers; that just isn't what I'd want in the end.
I'd probably just strive to live as normal a life-style as possible, have a normal job, etc, perhaps live wealthily in the quality of your life (big tv, house...), but definately make sure I'm still with the rest of society.
I don't know how that would work out though.

  14. With a fraction of morphix-brand money, I'd be full time awesome, instead of part-time like now.
    o_O

  15. Believe it or not, some people do the things they love, and get paid for it!

  16. It's hard to get someone to pay you to be awesome all the time.

Well, when I say that I have a lot of interests and I'd love the time to pursue them all, I'm not so much talking about traveling or living an extravagant lifestyle (although that'd be keen as well), I'm just talking about the myriad hobbies that I have. I never have as much time as I'd like to devote to them- that would be the true freedom that being rich would give me.

  21. So, what does this guy DO that got him so much money? Or did he just inherit it or something? He doesn't look familiar to me. Is he anybody, or just a random rick guy who cosplays....which I didn't know happened, by the way.

Maybe it changes as you get older, but I think you'd be surprised at how dependent you are on a rigid schedule that you have been living in since pre-school. I have plenty of hobbies, and even used my unemployed time to pursue some of them, but was bored nonetheless. Maybe its the forced social interaction (paired with the fact that all my friends were working during the day), or the forced brain exertions, or the fact that limiting amount of free time means that you value it more - I dont know.

If I came upon a significant amount of money, I would definitely return to school, and probably teach at a college. I know I couldnt entertain myself for years.

Or maybe I just have ADD.

I used to think the same way. But your perspective really changes, just like your perspective may change if you were generating all or a majority of your cash flow from your own businesses, investments, real estate, hustling, etc., rather than solely as an employee.

morphix, you did lose weight. You get shot or something?

Nope just old fashion diet and exercise (little over 100lbs in the last year).

I can't travel now because of family so I am taking the time to slim down and explore other interest (just started learning the guitar). This way in when I can get away, I can enjoy it a lot more. I just wish I started this a year earlier...

For me it was the whole idea of not making any money. I was sitting around, enjoying myself, playing games, drawing, writing stories, and so on but the looming idea of progressing nowhere in a financial aspect to give myself security to continue the things I enjoy made it feel kind of empty. Perhaps if I was selling of my works or something I wouldn't have gotten that but if I don't feel like I'm developing a real trade skill or somehow making money then it feels empty after a little while.

If I was rich and could live off my investments then I'd finally sit down and finish a lot of projects I've worked on solely for my own enjoyment. In between visiting all the places I'd love to go, naturally. As long as I'm dreaming, I'd like a pony.

I'm pretty sure it was inheritence.

    No.

God, you people. Stop asking where he got the money, it detracts from the other posts lambasting him for wasting it on shitty anime.

See, that's my problem with morphix. Yeah he can spend it on whatever he wants blah, blah, blah, but when he posts what he does buy on TNL and it turns out to be pure garbage I feel no reason to restrain myself from commenting. It's his lack of taste, not his fortune, that I despise.

As for pictures and video reviews; LOL.
    Time for a change
