New wireless router

I know there are tons of threads about psp, but being the fact that no one is going to read the old ones i have to make this one. I just got a wireless router and I hooked it up and from what i can understand it's working fine. Now i wanna hook my psp up to it and i've done it with over my girlfriend's house as well as my father's and it works like it should. But at my house i get this message when testing the connection. The system detects my network and i do automatic for everything but it gives me this message when trying to obtain the IP address.

"A connection error has occurred. The attempt to obtain the IP address timed out." Does anyone with any networking skill know why the fuck this is happening when it obtained IP addresses at my GF and my Dad's houses?

Go to the PSP everything thread and ask Bandit. Just because the thread is old people will still read it. You need to get into your router configurations and set up you WEP key. Once you've entered your WEP key code, you'll have to enter it in your PSP also. You also have to open up ports on your router if you plan on using a headset for the psp to play live or you won't recieve any voice chat.
