I didnt either, but with quotes like this throughout:

Connie: *makes a comment about some story involving "inadequate men"*
Maury: "You would know about inadequate men, wouldn't you?" *laughs*
Connie: "I'm married to one."
Audience: *startled*
Maury: *stops laughing* "I..I can't believe you just said that."

I would have tuned in for the comedic value alone.

I might try to find a torrent of that final ep. Maybe they had some more comedic moments I didn't know about.

I'm sure that commercial break must have been interesting between those two.
