Thread: LOL @ HD-DVD

  1. Thank the fuck christ, now shut down hddvd and release paramount and the rest so I can get Blades of Glory, Anchorman, Lost in Translation, Eternal sunshine etc, they can keep Transformers though.

  2. b_ri on Twitch, Games Beaten in 2020 (3): Pokemon Sword (Sw), Detroit: Becoming Human (PS4), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PS4),

    iTunes is killing your parents.

  6. So is Microsoft still planning to release the ultimate 360 with a HD drive built in? Pretty stupid if they did.

I'll go Blu Ray eventually just because of the PS3. The movies are still overpriced though. Would also be nice to rent the shit everywhere.
Korly-"Everyone here is an asshole, SURPRISE!"

  7. Renting is not the problem, Netflix or BBOnline takes care of that. Loval rentals of bd/hdd is a bitch though.

  8. Based on the timing of the Warner Home Video announcement today, the HD DVD Promotional Group has decided to cancel 1:1 press meetings at CES, in addition to the press conference that was scheduled for Sunday evening. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause…

We are currently discussing the potential impact of this announcement with the other HD DVD partner companies and evaluating next steps. We believe the consumer continues to benefit from HD DVD's commitment to quality and affordability -- a bar that is critical for the mainstream success of any format.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on new developments around HD DVD.

You do know that Blu Ray is doing so well because of ps3 right? Everyone that I know including me has Bluray because i have a ps3. If HD DVD was included in the beginning in the 360 then bluray wouldn't be in the position it's in now. Now if MS do some kinda rebate trade in for an "ultimate" since more gamers play 360 more would have hddvd. But that's not going to happen and it is kinda a too little too late thing.

  10. apparently, warner was supposed to be announcing hd exclusivity this weekend, but took the blu ray deal at the last second

this conference would have been discussing the go forward plans with that announcement
